Endometriosis – How can we help?

Endometriosis is a chronic and debilitating condition that can have a significant impact on your life. Roughly 1.5 million in the UK women suffer from this condition. Some of the symptoms can be:

  • Chronic pain
  • Fatigue/lack of energy
  • Depression/isolation
  • Digestive issues
  • Problems with a couple’s sex life/relationships
  • An inability to conceive
  • Difficulty in fulfilling work and social commitments

With the right treatment or combination of treatments these symptoms can be managed. At The Natural Therapy Centre we offer several different therapeutic approaches that can help you manage the symptoms of endometriosis.

Reflexology is the stimulation and application of pressure to reflex points of the feet. It is believed that this stimulation encourages the body to heal itself by improving circulation, reducing stress, pain and helps to restore the body’s natural balance. Stimulating the body’s lymphatic system releases extra endorphins, the body’s natural pain killer. Reflexology can help with:

  • Pain Management
  • Relaxation & Stress Relief
  • Balance Hormones
  • Fertility
  • Increase energy levels
  • Depression

Holistic Nutritional Therapy

There are certain foods that can negatively affect Endometriosis, especially the food that can influence hormone production or encourage inflammation in the body. Nutritional therapy can help with:

  • Hormonal balancing
  • Energy levels
  • Bloating
  • Digestive issues
  • Emotional Health

EFT (Emotional freedom technique) also known as ‘tapping therapy’. It has been researched extensively, with strongly positive results for its effectiveness in resolving both emotional and physical difficulties. It is gentle enough to be used by people in chronic pain. It is a very gentle and amazing therapy – people often feel improvement in their condition right from the very first session.  It can be used in conjunction with other therapies, including medical treatment. EFT can help with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Emotional health
  • Overcome the feeling of isolation
  • Learn to live with Endometriosis and manage its symptoms
